Homebase launches new app

Homebase has launched a new app as it looks to create a more inspirational and digital experience for its customers.

The app, which will run on multiple devices including iOS 7 and Android, allows customers to browse and refine the product range, check stock and reserve to stores nationwide, and find their nearest Homebase store using GPS.

Homebase said over 50% of its online traffic now comes through smartphones and tablets. Since the launch, the app has seen over 70,000 downloads across multiple devices.

Siobhan Fitzpatrick, director of multichannel at Homebase, said: “With the demand for online shopping increasing, we’re listening to our customers and giving them an app that’s as easy and convenient to use as possible. This is just the beginning of a number of new developments and additional features for our digital channels which we will be bringing to our customers in the coming months.”
