An Overview of Intellectual Property Rights

Date/Time
Date(s) - 26/11/2024
10:30 am - 11:30 am

BHETA is pleased to announce we will be hosting a webinar with Howes Percival on Tuesday 26th November at 10:30am, presented by Jenna Bruce and Stephen Ruse of commercial law firm Howes Percival.

This webinar will give a whistlestop tour of the key intellectual property rights, with a focus on product and brand protection, including registered designs, the various unregistered design rights, trade marks and rights in passing off. There will be a more detailed look at when such rights are likely to apply, what you need to do to be protected or how protection arises, what you’re actually protected against and common issues and pitfalls. There also will be a look to the future with how AI is impacting the intellectual property space and what businesses need to be aware of if they are thinking of using AI.

Howes Percival is a leading commercial law firm offering advice to a wide range of clients, from family businesses to household brands. Their experts can offer advice on a full range of legal issues, including Commercial Contracts, Corporate Transactions, Employment law, Property, Intellectual Property, Regulatory and Health & Safety issues.

The event is for BHETA members. Non-members who are interested in experiencing a BHETA event and are thinking of joining the association are also welcome to register for a ‘taster session’, on the condition they are happy to have a membership chat with the relevant sector manger.

If you have any questions, please contact Sally in Member Services on sjg@bheta.co.uk.
