Lakeland to headline at the next BHETA forum

BHETA is to hold another of its popular networking forums on November 1st featuring an opportunity for members to network with senior buying and merchandising personnel from a leading housewares retailer.

Topping the bill will be not only Samm Swain, Buying and Merchandising Director of Lakeland, but also Jeff Moody, Commercial Director at bira.  Samm Swain will be presenting her views on the current market, latest consumer trends and outlining the future strategic direction and focus of the Lakeland team over the coming months. Samm will also be highlighting the opportunities for suppliers and how best they can benefit from developing their trading relationships with Lakeland as they look to deliver future growth.

Jeff Moody will be outlining the opportunities for suppliers via bira direct and expand on collaborative initiatives with BHETA such as the bonus gift voucher launched at Exclusively this year.

Following BHETA’s exclusive deal with research and data provider, GfK, to provide a new retail data service to members, a packed agenda will also include Kelly Whitwick, UK Retail lead at GfK.

BHETA’s housewares sector director, Will Jones commented, “This is a not to be missed event which will provide BHETA members with an invaluable insight into opportunities for trading and into all that is going on in the retail market.”

Applications to attend the forum should be made to Sally Hawkins of the Member Services Team on sh@bheta.co.uk or 0121 237 1130.
