Amazon Go to open first UK physical store

It has been widely reported in the press that the first UK physical Amazon Go store will open this week, although there has been no official confirmation from Amazon. The Mail on Sunday reported that the first branch will open in Ealing, West London. This follows 25 Amazon Go stores which are open in the US.

Amazon Go stores allow customers to shop without queuing and then they are charged automatically using the Amazon mobile app. Sensors and in-store cameras track what customer take from the shelves and their are no tills or queuing to leave.

It is reported that the store will sell groceries which will be fulfilled by Morrisons.
