Homebase has relaunched its website, aiming to transform the online shopping experience for customers seeking home improvement products. The relaunch comes after CDS Superstores acquired the Homebase brand and 70 stores late last year, following the retailer’s collapse into administration.
The newly redesigned Homebase website introduces a more user-friendly platform with improved functionality, enhanced browsing capabilities, and an expanded range of products. The site now features up to 10,000 additional items, covering categories such as decorating, DIY, and gardening.
The website also includes CDS Superstores’ Click & Collect service, allowing customers to pick up online orders from over 200 The Range and Wilko stores, with orders ready for collection in as little as 60 minutes.
Alex Simpkin, Group Chief Executive at CDS, expressed enthusiasm about the relaunch: “We’re excited to announce the relaunch of www.homebase.co.uk, offering customers nationwide an upgraded shopping experience with a diverse range of products for all their home and garden projects. Our goal is to preserve the best of Homebase’s heritage while introducing a broader product range, value, and quality.”
The relaunch is part of CDS’s broader efforts to revitalise the Homebase brand and improve customer engagement through continuous digital updates, with plans for future enhancements to the online shopping experience.
This move marks a significant step in the revitalization of Homebase, following a turbulent period for the retailer, which faced financial challenges before its acquisition by CDS Superstores. With this new website, the company is looking to regain its position in the competitive home improvement market.
